'The Elephant MIst'

This limited edition print was taken from a shoot at the Samburu National Reserve, in the dry northern reaches of Kenya. The area is hot and arid, and is distinguished by its parched landscape of hills and plains. Home to large herds of elephants, it is 165km in size and 350km from Nairobi. Geographically it is located in the Samburu District of the Rift Valley Province. African elephants are the largest land animals on Earth. They can be identified by their larger ears that look somewhat like the continent of Africa. Because ivory is so valuable to some humans, many elephants have been killed for their tusks. This trade is illegal today, but it has not been completely eliminated, and some African elephant populations remain endangered.
